February 3rd is…
National Patient Recognition Day
This week (Feb. 1-7) is National Patient Recognition WEEK
National Patient Recognition Day is a day for healthcare providers & all other people who come into contact with or provide services for patients to “seriously reflect on their stewardship of patient care and their dedication to patient satisfaction.”*
Some recommended things for healthcare providers to do on NPRD would be:
· Give free parking.
· Have a recognition party or program
· Provide free meals/snacks/desserts/drinks.
· Offer discounts for gift shops, pharmacies &/or cafeteria.
· Give free promotional items or gifts, flowers, DVD’s, newspapers or magazines.
· Volunteer extra time to help or spend time with a patient
· Create a garden area for patients or plant a tree.
· Tell your patients “Thank You!”
…OR, perhaps you could give your patients a private room today (or at least BED?! LOL):
