About Care-Aware

Care-Aware is an awareness project for health & wellness issues, run by a singular volunteer.

Care-Aware also asks the question: “Can doing relatively-insignificant little things …offered freely, in spare moments (…using stuff already-on-hand) really make any difference in the world?”

My hope & belief is that the above-question is a rhetorical one …& that, if-so, it’s due to those amongst you who choose to respond to what you may happen to bump into, on Care-Aware (& elsewhere) …& also due to that Significant Synergy which lies beyond & between us all.

“I add my breath to your breath … that we may finish our road together.” –Laguna Pueblo prayer

  1. I just found your page, and I LOVE what you are doing to bring awareness to so many diseases! As co-founder of the International Foundation for Autoimmune Arthritis, we have dedicated an annual day to recognize and promote education/awareness for autoimmune arthritis on May 20th. We’ve held the event the past two years, and in 2012 we had 18 organizations signed-on to participate; for this year’s Virtual Convention the number was up to 38 organizations from around the world, and they included signed on to participate in the Virtual Convention, including EULAR, the National Psoriasis Foundation, the Arthritis Society, Spondylitis Association of America and several branches of the Arthritis Foundation worldwide.

World Autoimmune Arthritis Day, an annual, global 47-hour Virtual Convention held online, where nonprofits, advocates, and experts from around the world unite in order to provide educational and awareness information to patients, their supporters, and the general public. The key purpose of WAAD is to provide those affected with the opportunity to find resources that can better their journey with Autoimmune Arthritis.

We would be honored if you would consider adding our event to your Care-Aware Calendar for May 2014. I am the contact for the event, and my email address is Tami@IFAutoimmuneArthritis.org. Persons may also find out more information about the event, or learn more about autoimmune arthritis, by visiting our website at http://www.IFAutoimmuneArthritis.org or http://www.Facebook.com/WorldAutoimmuneArthritis.

Thanks so much for your consideration and keep up the great work!

    Tami

Hello again from the International Foundation for Autoimmune Arthritis! World Autoimmune Arthritis Day is just around the corner! WAAD 2014 (or “WAAD14“) is all about the life of the patient and the resources available for those affected. Starting in March 2014, over 3 dozen nonprofits and dozens of community leaders will begin this adventure via Social Media, inviting those affected to ‘visit’ their organization and to participate in interactive awareness and educational posts that will highlight this years’ theme: A Day in the Life as an Autoimmune Arthritis Patient.
From a Social Media virtual wave to start the journey to a 47 hour Virtual Convention where those affected can route a literal visit around a world or resources, WAAD14 is estimated to reach over 100,000 patients worldwide, ensuring it will go down in history as the most memorable event ever for those affected by Autoimmune Arthritis. You can learn more about the event by visiting http://www.worldautoimmunearthritisday.org/. Join the adventure and be a part of history!
